Program Support Internship– Summer 2022

BGG seeks an intellectually curious, current undergraduate student to be an integral part of our team during summer 2022 and support our business development and program implementation processes. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience while learning from experts in the international development field.

The Program Support Summer Internship at BGG is 10 weeks long, running from June – August 2022 with flexible start and end dates. Interns must be able to work between 20 – 32 hours per week for the duration of the program. This position is flexible, with the option to be entirely remote, in-person, or a mix of both. Our headquarters are located in Easthampton, MA.

BGG is looking for individuals with interest, experience or knowledge in the following areas:

  • International development
  • Global health
  • Public policy
  • Education and virtual learning
  • Leadership and organizational development
  • Communications, marketing & social media
  • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation for meetings, and scheduling as well as set up and help with note-taking, dissemination of notes, and action items for internal team meetings.
  • Support desk research, literature reviews and summarize findings/information in technical documents, reports, and related materials as needed.
  • Support additional technical and logistical project implementation processes.
  • Support administrative needs such as organizing project documents and project files and other tasks/duties as needed.
  • Assist with editing, formatting and supporting the creation of social media posts and graphics, presentation materials, etc.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Is currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver.
  • Language proficiency (especially French) and competency in reading and writing is a plus.
  • Demonstrable editing skills.
  • Data visualization and analysis skills present a strong advantage.
  • Experience with virtual learning and virtual event production is a plus.
  • Statistical analysis, survey design, and knowledge of operational budgets is also desirable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Has completed at least two years of college coursework.
  • Has excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Is available to work part-time throughout the 10-week internship.
  • Is eligible to work in the United States (including CPT/OPT).
