Daman BozdarEducation Intern

Daman Bozdar is a doctoral student in International Education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is an accomplished and experienced international development and education sector professional with over 10 years of progressively responsible experience and demonstrated competencies in education project planning, implementation, oversight, and evaluation. He holds an MPA degree focused on Public Policy Analysis and Public Finance from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad/Pakistan and a Master’s in Education and International Development from UCL/Institute of Education, London, United Kingdom.

Mr. Bozdar has advanced knowledge of Urdu/Hindi and Sindhi, and functional proficiency in Arabic.

Mr. Bozdar has successfully led and contributed to the educational project designs, management, implementation oversight, monitoring, and evaluation of multi-million dollars USAID-funded large scale educational projects. He served as the COR/AOR/Program Manager for the Higher Education Emergency Support Program, Improving Basic Educational Quality Program, and the Pakistan Reading Project. He has also overseen substantial number of qualitative and quantitative research studies. He is a key contributor to project design analyses doing conflict sensitivity analysis, gender analysis, monitoring and evaluation, political economy analysis, private sector engagement analysis, and social network analysis.

His principal areas of interest are early learning/ reading policy reforms, and K-12 education, inclusive education, digital literacies, education finance and system strengthening, youth engagement, teacher education reforms, and public-private partnerships reforms in education.

My goals as an education intern for BGG program include contributing to thought pieces on digital practices, digital transformation, and the intersection of green and digital policies and practices. I also want to better support desk research, literature reviews and summarize findings/information in technical documents, reports, and related materials and provide technical guidance in reviewing the business forecast, tracking partners, and supporting the proposal manager in the proposal writing process.”
